Booker's has released only its second rye whiskey. It is aged over six years, finished in apple brandy casks with cinnamon sticks, and bottled uncut at 125.1 proof.
Cinnamon sticks. In the cask. This is the sort of thing a craft distillery does in year two and a Beam Suntory label does never, and at 125.1 proof it is going to arrive like an autumn candle that can drive. We are entirely in favour and we would like the record to show that nobody made them do it.
