Fragile Lighting Collection
Marset's Fragile collection carries one glass silhouette, a sphere meeting a pyramid, across table, wall, and pendant formats.

Marset has not published a price for Fragile, the lighting range designed by Jaume Ramírez, so this is a report on the idea rather than the invoice. The collection began as a single table lamp, a round base under a pointed shade, and has since been expanded into wall and pendant versions at varying scales, all made from glass.
The logic is repetition rather than range. Most lighting collections solve table, wall and pendant separately, with a family resemblance in finish or colour and little else. Fragile keeps one visual unit, the sphere meeting the pyramid, and lets scale and mounting do the differentiating. A pendant and a table lamp from the same range can look like the same object at two sizes, which is a harder trick than it sounds.
Glass is the material that makes this legible. A pointed shade in glass reads as a drawn line in a way the same shape in metal or fabric does not, because glass has no visible seam and very little surface texture to break the silhouette. That is also the material's cost: glass is unforgiving of impact and heavier per unit volume than the plastics most lighting brands default to, and a pendant in it asks more of its mounting hardware than a resin equivalent would.
The name is doing some work too. A glass lighting range calling itself Fragile is either a joke at its own expense or a dare, and the collection as described does not resolve which. What is clear from the brief is restraint: one form, repeated, rather than a scattering of unrelated shapes under a single badge.

The verdict
A disciplined idea, one shape carried through three formats, and withholding the price is the collection's one real flaw.
